The Garden Layout is an interactive guide developed for school garden educators and farmers working to design their own educational garden. The Garden Layout will give you access to detailed information about what we grow in each season and why we choose the plants that we do.

Make sure to rotate these beds yearly on a 3-year schedule, following our crop rotation guidelines.

Instructions: Click on the seasons below or in the right hand navigation to view the Garden Layout for each season. Make sure to click on each bed to find detailed information about all of the plants.

Spring

Get started with the cool season crops. These crops will be harvested before the end of the school year.

Summer

The garden is in full bloom and thriving with vegetables and flowers that attract beneficial insects!

Fall

We begin to use cover crops as we give back to the soil that has nourished our plants through the summer.

Winter

Its time to put the garden to bed with mulch and cover crop.
